The Annual Omagh Music Festival Weekend returns on 1 and 2 November 2024 at the Strule Arts Centre, this year celebrating the music of Omagh Legends Frank Chisum and Frankie McBride!

Join us for an engaging evening of conversation and reminiscing with Sweet Omagh Town Internet Radio presenters Don McGurgan and Declan Forde in The Strule Cafe at 7.30pm.
With their extensive oral history collection on Omagh and the surrounding areas, Declan and Don will take you on a nostalgic journey through Omagh town. Relive the memories of growing up, working and playing there as the face and sound of entertainment changed over the years!

Kick off the festival with Omagh’s Music Heritage Trail and explore the rich musical history of Omagh through the Showband exhibition. Begin your journey at the Strule Arts Centre’s rooftop museum and enjoy a guided tour through Omagh’s musical past, visiting former venues and discovering how they’ve evolved over time.

Celebrating the Music of Omagh Legends: Frankie McBride & Frank Chism

Celebrate the musical legacies of Frankie McBride and Frank Chism at this special evening concert. Experience local baritone Calvin Davidson perform McBride’s classic hits with a 14-piece live band, reliving the vibrant Irish showband scene of the 60s.
Conor Chism, grandson of Frank Chism, will honor his heritage with a selection of his grandfather’s best-known songs, including Elvis classics like “Burning Love,” “Suspicious Minds,” and more. This unique performance will also mark Conor’s debut album launch.
