Classic pantomime from the Lakeland Players with some wonderful setpiece scenes.

Princess Jasmine is ‘slumming it’ in Peking market, when she meets street rat Aladdin and it is love at first sight. Unfortunately for Aladdin, he is immediately under sentence of death, for talking to the Princess.

Aladdin and his dimwitted brother, Wishee Washee, work with their mother, Widow Twanky, in her laundry, scraping a living among the dirty washing, in the city of old Peking.

Aladdin meets the evil Abanazar, who needs Aladdin’s help to retrieve a magic lamp that is hidden in a mysterious cave. After thwarting Abanazar’s plan, Aladdin becomes a wealthy man and is deemed a suitable husband for Princess Jasmine. However, Abanazar looks to take his revenge on Aladdin.

Using his magical lamp and some very special genie magic, will Aladdin win the day?

With the usual mix of comedy, song and dance routines, colourful sets and spectacular special effects, the Lakeland players are sure to kick the new year off in style with everything you could wish for in a pantomime!

Please note Strobe Lighting, pyrotechnics and a smoke/haze machine will be used during this performance.
