‘Living Life in A Wild World’ is the first solo exhibition of works from talented Omagh photographer, Aidan McAleer. This exhibition, recently launched at the Strule Arts Centre, Omagh, is a captivating series of photographs that explore nature, wildlife, and the daily lives of people in various environments. On display until Saturday 26 October, the exhibition showcases Aidan’s latest work, drawing from his journeys around Ireland and abroad.
There are 25 unique images in the exhibition, each capturing a moment in time that challenges the viewer to consider how human interactions can affect the natural environment and the landscapes around us.
Born and educated in Omagh, Aidan studied Creative Media Production at South West College and went on to achieve his Foundation Degree in Digital Arts and Technologies, then  progressed to the BSc Cinematic Arts course at the Ulster University, graduating in 2019 with First Class Honours degree.
Now an award winning photographer, filmmaker and travel blogger, Aidan’s work has previously been acquired by international collections and also by the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council’s Civic Art Collection.
Vice Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Elaine Brough attended the exhibition and said;
‘’Firstly, I would like to commend Aidan McAleer on this excellent exhibition, the quality of the images is testament to many years of commitment and love for photography and film. I am confident that this exhibition will be an inspiration to many other young people who have a keen interest in photography or other art forms.
Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is committed to promoting the arts and ensuring that it is accessible to everyone. Having venues such as Strule Arts Centre to provide opportunities for local artists to exhibit and showcase their talent helps us to achieve this.
I would encourage you all to come along and view this fantastic exhibition while it is on display here in Strule Arts Centre”
