‘Connecting Threads: Textile Crafts’ exhibition opens at Strule Arts Centre

An exhibition of works by Omagh Quilters Guild has opened at the Strule Arts Centre, Omagh.
‘Connecting Threads: Textile Crafts’ showcases a range of pieces created by members of Omagh Quilters Guild, including quilts of all sizes and designs, wet felted pictures, felted bags and bowls, Christmas table runners and place mats.
The exhibition was opened by Vice Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor AnnMarie Donnelly. Speaking at the exhibition opening, Councillor Donnelly paid tribute to the work of the group in keeping heritage traditions alive to pass on to future generations, while Ann Taggart, Chair of Omagh Quilters Guild, conveyed her thanks to everyone involved in creating the exhibition.
As part of the exhibition programme, a free live wet felting demonstration and Gallery Tour by Omagh Quilters Guild members will take place from 11am -1pm on Thursday 16 November 2023. Booking available via the Strule Arts Centre website or by telephoning directly.
The ‘Connecting Threads: Textile Crafts’ exhibition runs at the Strule Arts Centre until 5pm, Monday 27 November 2023, with the exhibition open from 9.30am to 5pm Monday – Saturday. Admission free.
