Council Chair congratulates Olympic Ireland Team Chef de Mission, Gavin Noble

The Team Ireland Chef de Mission for the Paris Olympic is former Olympian and Fermanagh native, Gavin Noble.
Speaking about Gavin’s success at leading the Team, Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor John McClaughry, said:
“I would like to congratulate Gavin on his success at being selected to lead Team Ireland at the Paris Olympics 2024.
Being selected as Chef de Mission, is testament to Gavin’s own track record competing at the highest levels and his knowledge and interest in sport. This is a vital role with the responsibility of ensuring that the athletes have a smooth and enjoyable experience at the Game and to ensure they are at their best with the opportunity to compete and achieve success.
To come home from the Olympics with six medallists and seven medals is a tremendous achievement and Gavin will have played his part in supporting and encouraging each of the athletes.
Gavin has done himself, his family and friends, his county and his District proud and he is an excellent ambassador and an inspiration to other young athletes in the District. On behalf of everyone, I wish Gavin every success for the future.”
