Fermanagh and Omagh District Council has commenced works at St Davog’s and the Community Centre Play Parks in Belleek.

The works are part of the Council’s ambitious ten year Play Park Strategy, now in its third year of delivery, which aims to guide play park provision across the District.

The works will include the upgrade of existing equipment and the provision of new equipment which will provide inclusive play facilities.

It is important that our children and young people have safe places to be active and connect with others as well as the natural environment.  The availability of play park facilities across the District provides such spaces and demonstrates the Council’s commitment to ensuring our people are healthy and well physically, mentally and emotionally.

Speaking about the works, Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Thomas O’Reilly, said:

“I am pleased to see the works have commenced at the play parks in Belleek, continuing the great works which have been completed over the last two years across the District.

I am confident that the works at both play parks will enhance the current provision and benefit the local residents. It is important for the Council to encourage people to get outdoors and be active and this can be achieved through the provision of spaces to play and socialise with others.”

The works are scheduled to be completed in early 2024 and will result in some temporary disruption for residents.  We appreciate the patience of our residents while the works are being completed.  During the closure period, play facilities are available at Daly Park, Belleek and Rusheen Park, Garrison.
