Council hosts Employee Recognition Awards 2024 event

Recently the Council hosted its annual Employee Recognition Awards event where the Chair of the Council, Councillor John McClaughry, along with the Chief Executive, Alison McCullagh, presented awards to employees in recognition of Long Service, Academic and Other Achievement, Employee and Team Awards..

 

Nineteen Employees were recognised for 20 years service, four employees were recognised for 30 years service and six employees were recognised for 40 years service with the Council, which included a posthumous award for the late Geoff Armstrong. Twenty-two employees were recognised for their academic and other achievements. Congratulations to everyone!

Twenty-two staff were also recognised on their retirement – we hope you all enjoy a long and happy retirement.

 

The Employee and Team of the Year Awards for each Directorate as well as the Health and Wellbeing Initiative, Innovation and Sports and Social Club Awards were also announced at the event.

 

At the event, the Chair remarked “Employees are the heart of any organisation and we are fortunate to have such a diverse range of talents and expertise in the Council. Each and every member of staff should know that their work is very much appreciated.
