Council illuminated buildings on various dates in June

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council will illuminate Enniskillen Castle and Strule Arts Centre, Omagh on various dates throughout the month of June. 

On Thursday 1 June both Enniskillen Castle and Strule Arts Centre, Omagh will be illuminated blue to mark volunteer week.  Volunteer week is a chance to recognise the fantastic contribution volunteers make to our communities and say thank you

On Friday 9 June, both buildings will be illuminated orange to mark International Batten Disease Awareness Day.  Batten disease is a rare group of nervous system disorders called neuronal ceroid lipofuscinosis.  

Wednesday 14 June marks World Blood Donor Day 2023.   The slogan for 2023 World Blood Donor Day is “Give blood, give plasma, share life, share often.  To mark World Blood Donor Day, both Enniskillen Castle and Strule Arts Centre, Omagh will be illuminated red.  

Both buildings will be illuminated yellow on Friday 23 June to mark the 25th Anniversary of the South West Age Partnership (SWAP).  SWAP is the network for older peoples groups and individual older people.  

On Tuesday 27 June Enniskillen Castle and Strule Arts Centre, Omagh will be illuminated purple/Green in recognition of Deafblind Awareness Week.  Deafblindness is the loss of sight and hearing to the point where your communication, mobility and ability to access information are impacted.
