Council illuminates Enniskillen Castle and Strule Arts Centre, Omagh on various dates in March 2024

On Sunday 03 March 2024, Enniskillen Castle and Strule Arts Centre, Omagh was illuminated in yellow to mark the National Day of Reflection. The annual National Day of Reflection is an opportunity to remember those who lost their lives during the Covid-19 pandemic and to show support for those who were bereaved.
Both buildings were illuminated in yellow on Monday 04 March 2024 to mark the 200th anniversary of the RNLI (Royal National Lifeboat Institution). The RNLI is a charity dedicated to saving lives at sea through a lifeboat search and rescue service.
To mark International Women’s Day on Friday 08 March 2024, both Enniskillen Castle and Strule Arts Centre, Omagh will be illuminated in purple. International Women’s Day is an annual event to celebrate the achievements of women. The theme for 2024 is Inspire Inclusion with the aim of striving to create a world that is diverse, equitable and inclusive.
On Friday 15 and Sunday 17 March 2024, Enniskillen Castle and Strule Arts Centre, Omagh will be illuminated in green to mark St Patrick’s weekend. Events will be taking place across the District, including in Enniskillen and Omagh.
Enniskillen Castle and Strule Arts Centre, Omagh will be illuminated in purple on Wednesday 20 March 2024 for Ageism Action Day to raise awareness and understanding of ageism.
On Thursday 21 March 2024, Enniskillen Castle and Strule Arts Centre, Omagh, will be illuminated blue to recognise World Down Syndrome Day, a day to celebrate the lives of people with Downs Syndrome and to make sure they have the same freedoms and opportunities as everyone else.
