On Thursday 30 November 2023, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council launched two new business support initiatives at a Business Breakfast hosted by the Council Chair, Councillor Thomas O’Reilly.

The Go Succeed and Digital Transformation Flexible Fund initiatives aim to help local established and aspiring businesses to grow and thrive.

The Go Succeed support service, powered by the UK Government’s Levelling Up Fund, will provide expert business advice for entrepreneurs just starting out on their journey and existing businesses that are aiming to grow and expand.

The Digital Transformation Flexible Fund aims to support small and micro businesses, including those in rural areas, to be active in digital transformation and support inclusive growth.  The programme will provide financial assistance for capital investment in advanced digital technology and tools to help the business to transform.  The Digital Transformation Flexible Fund is part funded by the NI Executive, UK Government, Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) and all local authorities in Northern Ireland and supported by Invest NI.

Speaking at the launch, Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Thomas O’Reilly, said:

“I am delighted to launch the Go Succeed and Digital Transformation Flexible Fund at the second of my Business Breakfast events.

I would encourage all businesses in the Fermanagh and Omagh District to look into both initiatives to see if you are eligible for support and take advantage of these excellent opportunities to help achieve your business goals.

Businesses are the lifeblood of our towns and villages.  These Business Breakfasts recognise the important contribution that local businesses make to helping our District develop and ensure our communities are sustainable and resilient.”

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is committed to ensuring that our economy is thriving, expanding and outward looking.  These initiatives help to achieve this by supporting businesses to start, thrive and grow and continue to contribute to our local economy.
