Council update in relation to Storm Darragh

Community Assistance Centres
NIE Networks will have Community Assistance Centres for those still without power as follows:
- Fermanagh Lakeland Forum, Sunday 08 December 2024, 2pm-4pm
- Omagh Leisure Complex, Monday 09 December 2024, 12 noon-2pm & 5pm-7pm
The centres will offer warm drinks, charging and changing facilities and NIE Networks staff will be there to answer any queries. Further information available from NIE Networks.
Outdoor facilities & open spaces
Due to the Met Office weather warning for strong winds and heavy rain in place from 3pm, Friday 06 December 2024 to 6am, Sunday 08 December 2024, the following outdoor Council facilities and open spaces will be closed for public access during the period of the warning:
- Cuilcagh Boardwalk Trail
- Gortin Glens Forest Park (including the Scenic Drive)
- Household Recycling Centres
- Lough Navar Forest Drive
- Forthill Park
- Henry Street Dog Park
- Killyfole Walk
- North Fermanagh Valley Park
- Arleston Dog Park
- St. Julian’s Park
Due to the amber weather warning in place from 1am, Saturday 07 December 2024 to 9pm, Saturday 07 December 2024:
- Please do not visit any Council outdoor sites during the period of the amber weather warning.
- All activities at Council outdoor sports and leisure facilities are cancelled on Saturday 07 December 2024.
Please note, there may be some delays in the reopening of sites to enable safety inspections. Please follow our social media channels for updates on the reopening of sites.
The following Council organised events are cancelled:
- Enniskillen Farmers Market – Saturday 07 December 2024 (rescheduled to Saturday 21 December 2024)
- Live and Local Music in Enniskillen and Omagh – Saturday 07 December 2024
- Elf Escape at the Marble Arch Caves – Saturday 07 December 2024
