Fermanagh Job Fair 2024
23rd September 2024
More than 250 job vacancies from across the county will be on offer to job seekers at the Fermanagh Job Fair, being held at the Fermanagh Lakeland Forum on Thursday 3 October 2024 from 10am – 1pm.
25 employers and support organisations will be present at the Job Fair to support Fermanagh residents looking to get back into work, change job or kick start their career. Job vacancies will be spread right across the county and beyond, with the job fair featuring opportunities from Derrylin to Derrygonnelly, Fivemiletown to Florencecourt, as well as Enniskillen town centre and the new Lakeland Retail Park.
This free event is supported by the Fermanagh and Omagh Labour Market Partnership and Enniskillen BID.
Funded by the Department for Communities (DfC), Labour Market Partnerships create targeted employment action plans for council areas, allowing for collaboration at local and regional level to support people towards and into work.
Job hunters will have the chance to apply for positions across sectors including manufacturing, retail, health care, hospitality, construction, administration, maintenance and more. The jobs on offer will cover a range of working patterns and hours including shift work, part-time and full-time vacancies. Many of these positions will not require any previous experience or qualifications. In addition to a wide range of local employers, there will also be representation from training providers and support organisations.
Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor John McClaughry stated:
“This is an excellent opportunity for those seeking to move into employment, upskill or change career paths to meet with local employers and explore the different job roles available within our District. As a Council, and with the support of DfC and Enniskillen BID, we are committed to ensuring our local economy remains strong and that our residents are aware of the employment opportunities available to them.”
Noelle McAloon from Enniskillen BID said:
“Recruitment of staff continues to present serious challenges for local employers, it can impact on good customer service and puts pressure on business owners. Enniskillen BID welcomes the Fermanagh Jobs Fair as a very positive step to helping with staffing issues.”
