Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is delighted to confirm the reopening of three play parks in Lisnaskea following the completion of significant improvement works as part of the Council’s ongoing Play Parks Strategy 2021-2030.

The improvement works at Castle Park, Carrowshee and Trasna Way Play parks provide a range of enhanced, accessible and inclusive play facilities for children and young people across the local area and include elements such as  the provision of new inclusive swings, roundabout and trampoline, age appropriate climbing structures, activity station and a zip line.

Speaking about the improvement scheme, Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Thomas O’Reilly, said:

“I am delighted that the upgrade works at Castle Park, Carrowshee and Trasna Way Play Parks are now complete and the play parks are reopen for (our younger) residents.

The Council is fully committed to the ongoing roll out of the Play Park Strategy, enhancing play facilities across the District, and particularly in our rural towns and villages. These improvement works will ensure that children and young people in Lisnaskea can enjoy more active play and socialisation opportunities now and in the years ahead.”

The Play Park Strategy supports the Council’s commitment to provide opportunities for everyone to live well by improving wellbeing and tackling health inequalities and ensuring that our estate is accessible, safe and clean.
