Marble Arch Caves introduces new musical event

The Marble Arch Caves, one of Europe’s most impressive cave systems, is introducing a new musical event, ‘Echoes of Summer’. This summer, on Sunday 21st July, the new ‘Echoes of Summer’ event combines the natural acoustic properties of the show cave with the harmonious sounds of a local choir, creating a memorable way to tour the Marble Arch Caves.

‘Echoes of Summer’ will provide guests with an opportunity to enjoy the vocal talents of local Caritas Chamber Choir, a choir renowned for championing contemporary music, amplified within the show cave. Visitors accompanied with a guide, will enjoy the music echoing through the 340-million-year-old rock, and travelling beyond the chambers and along the rivers of the Marble Arch Caves’ natural underground world.

In partnership with Tully Mill Restaurant, guests will also indulge in a culinary delight at the outdoor BBQ, feasting on appetising offerings, in a picturesque outdoor setting, while soaking in the music as the choir’s voices drift in the summer breeze.

Echoes of Summer takes place on Sunday 21st July from 6:00pm to 8:30pm. A family friendly event suitable for children 8 years and over. The performance in the show cave is approximately 75 minutes, the musical performance will include a range of pieces from classical to contemporary. Guests have the option to either book the outdoor culinary BBQ or bring their own personalised alfresco picnic and blanket to enjoy in the scenic landscape.
