Strule Arts Centre Presents ‘The Joy of Perception’ Exhibition

31st January 2025

Artist Andrea Warnock

The Joy of Perception, a captivating exhibition of paintings by local artists Beth Jones and Andrea Warnock recently opened at Strule Arts Centre, Omagh. Beth and Andrea, lifelong friends and talented artists, have been painting since childhood. Their works, created using mixed media, oils, acrylic, pastel, and textured techniques, explore personal memories and perspectives.

The paintings within the exhibition reflect on a shared past while embracing the beauty of individual perception and highlight how art allows us to interpret the world in unique and personal ways.

Speaking at the exhibition launch, the Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council said:

“The theme of this exhibition, The Joy of Perception, highlights and celebrates the concept that people have different views of the world and that this allows us all to value our own qualities and personalities to stand out from others in a positive way. The joy of our differences also celebrates our own memories and stories and art gives us the freedom to do this.

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is committed to promoting the arts and ensuring it is accessible to everyone. Having venues such as Strule Arts Centre to allow local artists like Beth and Andrea to showcase their work and provide an opportunity for residents and visitors to enjoy the arts helps us to achieve this.”

The Joy of Perception will be on display until Saturday, 22 February 2025. The exhibition is open to the public from 9:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday to Saturday, with free admission.
