What will Omagh look like in 2035?
7th March 2022
During the month of March 2022, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council Council wants to gather your views on the future development of Omagh.
The Council is keen to hear from local people on how we can make Omagh a better place for all, including how to make our local communities stronger and more resilient into the future. As part of this work the Council will develop a comprehensive outline of what Omagh has to offer in terms of assets, its buildings, green spaces, brownfield sites, skills & knowledge, community groups, and public services for the next 10 to 20 years.
The Council wants to build on the history and success of Omagh, its strategic geographic and economic location, its tourism potential and to secure sustainable social, economic, and physical regeneration of the area.
Chair of Fermanagh and Omagh District Council, Councillor Errol Thompson said: “the Council is committed to making Omagh an even better place in which to live, work, visit and invest. This is a great opportunity for our residents, businesses, and partners to have real influence and jointly shape Omagh for current and future generations to enjoy.”
