Motion: Education Funding Cuts

Focusing on the crisis in funding for After-schools clubs like Roslea’s Rainbow After School club, Pre-school groups like Newtownbutler Cross Community Playschool, Shared Education Funding, Engage Funding, Holiday Hunger Funding, Extended Schools Funding; to name but a few of the brutal cuts made by the English Tory Government and aided by the DUP’s boycott of the Stormont institutions.

As such this Council calls on the Secretary of State, Chris Heaton Harris to end these outrageous cuts and to stop using the children of the North as bargaining chips.

This Council further calls on the DUP to return to the Assembly immediately so that proper funding can be invested in our children’s education.
