Motion: Fermanagh Women’s Aid

Due to an increase in service users to Fermanagh Women's Aid and domestic violence/abuse calls to the PSNI every 17 mins, our Council are well aware of the importance of the awareness training that FWA deliver across the Fermanagh and Omagh district area.

As such, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council are deeply concerned that project funding for awareness training has been lost.

Whilst core funding from the Department of Communities continues we would ask that both the DfC alongside the Department of Education and the Justice Department look at funding this extremely important post going forward.
