Motion: Request for call for fresh inquest into the murder of Patsy Kelly

This Council notes recent developments in the case of the late Cllr Patsy Kelly from Trillick, namely the publication of the Police Ombudsman’s Report into the RUC investigation into his murder and the subsequent decision of the Attorney General refusing a fresh inquest into Patsy’s killing.

This Council fully supports the Kelly family in their call for a fresh inquest into the murder, especially in light of the new information and reiterates our continued support on their journey for truth and justice.
