Waste and Recycling
Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is responsible for waste management, including refuse collection and bulky waste. We provide a refuse collection service to all domestic households as well as a collection service to commercial and industrial premises.
We also have state of the art recycling facilities at Drummee outside Enniskillen and Gortrush on the edge of Omagh, with both sites operating extensive opening hours throughout the year. In addition there are also Recycling Centres in the district, details of which can be found on the menu on the left.
The Council actively encourages residents to separate waste at source by using the mixed collection service provided by the Council.
We also provide a number of additional or altered bin collection services for people who have specific disabilities or medical conditions. These services provide assisted bin lift, additional bin collection and 360L blue recycling bins. Council policy for these services and details on the application process can be found at the following page Assisted Bin Lift, Additional Bin Collection and 360L Blue Recycling Bin Policy.
Please ensure that any ropes or bungee cords attached to your bin are removed prior to collection as they are a healthy and safety risk for the Refuse Collection Crews.
