Chair’s Business Conference

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council held its first Business Conference on Thursday 23 May 2024 in the Lough Erne Resort, Enniskillen, hosted by Chair of the Council, Councillor Thomas O’Reilly.

Approximately 130 attendees gained valuable information and advice from a variety of speakers, including Keynote Speaker, Mr Ian Snowden, Permanent Secretary for the Department for the Economy.

Other Speakers at the event included Mr Niall O’Donnellan (Centre for Cross Border Studies); Mr Martin McKendry (College of Agriculture, Food and Rural Enterprise); Professor David Rooney (Queens University Belfast); Dr Lisa Wilson (Nevin Research Institute) and Emma Weaver (Global Mental Wealth Advocate, TEDex Curator and Speaker).

The focus of the Conference was the future of our local economy with the aim of boosting growth and productivity, and achieving regional balance.
