Help with employment and training
This programme is suitable for people looking to change jobs, those who are unemployed or underemployed, or those working in a company that want to upskill and change positions towards digital marketing.
The key requirements for eligibility are:
1. The participant is over 21 years old
2. They are unemployed or under-employed, i.e. doing a job that could be improved if they gained new skills
3. They live in the Fermanagh and Omagh District Council boundary
The academy will feature online and in-person classes. The dates and times for these classes are still being finalised, but they will be flexible to suit the needs of as many people as possible.
The plan for the academy is to provide each participant with a bespoke training plan and deliver 8 intensive digital marketing sessions, including:
1. Digital Strategy
2. Video Creation using a Mobile Phone
3. Using AI
4. Building a Website in 1 Day using Wix
5. Cybersecurity
6. LinkedIn
7. Social Media Strategy
8. Developing Employment Skills for the Digital Sector
Each session is planned to last around 4-6 hours. They will be held in person and online, so if you miss a session, you will be able to catch up. All online sessions will be recorded and available to rewatch.
Additionally, those who complete the academy will receive 2 certifications: one for cybersecurity and one for digital marketing skills. The programme also features a check-in after 6 months to see how the skills have helped the participants develop.
The signup process for the Digital Academy is simple: just fill out the online form with your contact information. Then, they will call you to confirm your place on the programme and answer any questions!
NOW Group
Training and Jobs Programme in Northern Ireland for aged 16+
Funded by the Department for Communities, NOW Group is working in collaboration with the Fermanagh
and Omagh Labour Market Partnership. The programme is open to local residents who have a
registered disability or health condition, are of working age from16 to 64 and not currently in
employment.
The programme is a brilliant opportunity for individuals with disabilities who have been out of work
for a long time, never worked or not sure what they wanted to do. The programme includes an
employability academy which will help individuals develop their communication and teamwork
skills, understand their skills and qualities, gain knowledge about work appropriate behaviour, build
your own CV, understand the art of job searching, how to complete a job application and tips for
interviews skills along with much more!!
Individuals will get an opportunity to do a 6-week placement; the sector of the placement will be
chosen by the participant with support of the employment officer. The chosen employer will also
receive disability awareness training.
There is a £10 a day payment for the participant when they attend the employability academy and
placement.
The Employability Academy starts on Friday 17 November 1.30pm to 3pm, at NOW Group,

WRAP Programme
The WRAP (Women Returners Access Programme) is for any woman not in education, unemployed or economically inactive. It offers mentoring and support into education, training and employment.
The programme is very person-centered. Training and support can be very much tailored to the individual’s needs. It can help build women’s confidence and self-esteem. It can also help women gain Literacy, Numeracy, and ICT qualifications, to upskill, sample vocational areas the college can offer, explore new areas of work, get support with application forms / CVs and improve overall employability skills. It aims to address many of the barriers women traditionally face in returning to the workplace and education.

Condition Management Programme
A 12 week programme which provides support and advice to help individuals manage their health conditions to consider work or training options. They see people who are aged 16+ years who are on benefits and unemployed. They also see people who are in work but struggling to stay in work or return after a period of sick leave. The programme offers advice on topics such as: • Dealing with stress and anxiety • Managing low mood and depression • Coping with pain and fatigue • Communicating with confidence • Developing a healthier lifestyle Clients can refer themselves to the programme by calling 028 6632 4950. There is currently a short waiting list.
The Prince’s Trust
Upcoming courses and opportunities
The Prince’s Trust creates opportunities for vulnerable young people to thrive and support them to build their skills and confidence. They enable young people to take responsibility for their lives and work towards a future they can be proud of. To do this, they support 16-30 year olds who are unemployed or not in school. They have several programmes that cover the areas of education, employment, personal development, and enterprise.
