A Big Brown Box by Mrs. B
This is a poem sent to us by Mrs.B, who was a recipient of the food parcels and below are some of the dishes she made using the ingredients in the food parcels.
A Big Brown Box
A big brown box came every week.
All the food was packed in ever so neat.
There was pasta, rice, breakfast juice, tinned meat, potatoes and biscuits too.
Soup, milk and teabags to name another few.
What could you make I hear you say.
You won’t believe but out of this you could have three meals every day.
There was bolognese, lasagne, a pizza or two, omelettes, shredded wheat
and enough tinned fruit to make dessert of which we made quite a few!
Thank you to the council for making my day.
All these little treats helped more than I can say.
