Bulky Waste Collections

Fermanagh and Omagh District Council provides a Bulky Waste Collection for larger items of domestic household waste to all residents within the Fermanagh and Omagh District.

The following terms apply for the Bulky Waste Collection:

  • A maximum of three items per collection will be lifted
  • Each household can avail of a maximum of three free Bulky Waste Collections per year
  • Non-domestic premises, charities or schools are not eligible for the Bulky Waste Collection

What items can be collected?

The table below provides details of items that will be eligible for collection.  The following items will be considered as one item:

  • Suite of furniture (sofa and 2 chairs)
  • Bathroom suite (bath, sink, toilet)
  • Table and Chairs
  • Bed and mattress

All other items for collection will be considered as one item e.g cupboard, wardrobe, a door etc.

Furniture Tables, sofas, chairs, beds, cabinets, mattresses, carpet/lino (all must be rolled up, covered and dry), cupboards, wardrobes

Please note: any item with glass must have the glass removed before collection
White goods and Waste electricals Fridges, freezers, cookers, tumble dryers, washing machines, microwaves, hoovers
Garden Equipment Summer seats, garden tables and chairs
Wood Doors (all glass must be removed), dog kennels
Other Small domestic gates, BBQs, window frames (all glass must be removed), mirrors (full intact), bathroom suites, bicycles and large plastic toys such as tractors and go-karts

What items cannot be collected?

DIY materials Bricks, rubble, blocks, concrete, pipes, guttering, plasterboard, paint etc.
Metal Garage doors, corrugated iron, iron bars, agricultural metal gates etc.
Garden Waste Grass, hedge cuttings, trees, etc.
Other Gas cylinders, car parts, concrete coal bunkers, pianos, panes of glass, tyres, doors with glass, mirrors with broken glass, bags of rubbish, small toys, trampolines, swings, slides, broken up furniture, commercial fridges and freezers, lawnmowers
Fixtures and Fittings Kitchens, radiators, stair banisters, fireplaces, water cylinders/tanks, oil burners, copper tanks, back boilers, oil tanks, small garden sheds (dismantled)

How to book a Bulky Waste Collection?

To book a Bulky Waste collection:

  • Call us on 0300 303 1777 and ask for Killyvilly (152 Tempo Road, Killyvilly, Enniskillen, BT74 4GD) or Gortrush (Gortrush Industrial Estate, Great Northern Road, Omagh, BT78 5EJ) Depot
  • Tell us about the item(s) you would like collected
  • Staff will confirm if the collection is eligible
  • Staff will give you a collection date and tell you where to leave your item(s)

If we can’t collect you item

If we are unable to collect your item, you may be able to take it to one of our Recycling Centres.

Please note, the Council operates a bulky furniture and paint reuse scheme at 7 of its Recycling Centres across the District.

You can avoid your unwanted items from becoming waste by donating them to a local charity or not-for-profit organisation.
