Black and green landfill bin

The green or black landfill bin is for all non-recyclable waste such as nappies, plastic bags, bread bags and sweet and crisp wrappers. We like to think of this bin as the last resort!

Check your bin collection day and ensure you present you bin by 7am on the day of collection.

What items can I NOT place in my black / green landfill bin?

  • Food waste
  • Mixed dry packaging waste (Blue Bin)
  • Plasterboard
  • Tiles
  • Other construction / demolition waste (e.g. DIY waste)
  • Paint tins containing liquid paint
  • Oil filters and rags
  • Farm waste plastic (e.g. bale wrap)
  • Animal by-products / dead animals
  • Garden waste
  • Large amounts of pet waste and bedding (pet waste should be bagged before placing in the bin)
