Council logo
The Fermanagh and Omagh District Council logo combines the elements of what is of importance to the Council – the unique heritage of the region, the natural environment of this area of outstanding beauty, and the richly diverse community. The choice of the name, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council reflects the two legacy Councils from which the new Council is formed.
The logo was launched on Monday 2nd February 2015. In line with the new Council’s commitment to working across two locations in the district, the launch was carried out simultaneously in Enniskillen and Omagh, by the Presiding Councillor, Cllr Thomas O’Reilly at the Ardhowen Theatre, Enniskillen and by the Deputy Presiding Councillor, Cllr Debbie Coyle, at Strule Arts Centre, Omagh. Pupils from schools across the district joined the Presiding Councillor and Deputy Presiding Councillor to participate in the launch.
Speaking at the launch of the logo the Presiding Councillor and Deputy Presiding Councillor said that the design is “unique and instantly recognisable”, and which interprets “the Council’s vision for the district as a place of choice – where people, communities and businesses prosper”.
