Disability Action Plan 2022 – 2024

The Council’s Disability Action Plan is a series of actionable measures outlineing the Council’s proposals for fulfilling its statutory obligations in compliance with Section 49A of the Disability Discrimination Act 1995 (as amended by the Disability Discrimination (Northern Ireland) Order 2006).

Four strategic themes have been identified within the Disability Action Plan (2020-2022) and these include:

A. Consultation, development and implementation of the Disability Action Plan.
B. Increasing the awareness and understanding of the needs of people with disabilities.
C. Provision of responsive and accessible services to increase opportunities for people with disabilities to participate in public life.
D. Development of the Disability Advisory Group and the Access Advisory Groups
