Safeguarding
Safeguarding
It is unacceptable for a child, or adult at risk of harm, to experience abuse and/or harm of any kind. Fermanagh and Omagh District Council recognises its responsibility to safeguard and promote the welfare of all individuals by making a commitment to protect them as far as is reasonably practicable – within our premises, when receiving a service or participating in one of our programmes.
In July 2022, Fermanagh and Omagh District Council reviewed its Safeguarding Policy and Procedures. The revised Policy was adopted by the Council following decision by the Policy and Resources Committee. Please note – all documents can be downloaded from the related files section on this webpage.
The Council has two safeguarding policies and these are:
Child Safeguarding Policy
Adult Safeguarding Policy
These Policies apply to everyone associated with the Council, including: employees, Elected Members, volunteers and contactors.
