Who is collecting it?
Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is the Data Controller which means that we determine how the information is collected, used, protected and shared, where appropriate.
How is it collected?
Information is collected through the Dog Licence application process and through investigations and complaints.
Why is it being collected?
The lawful basis we rely on to process your personal information is Article 6(1)(c) of the GDPR, which means the processing is necessary for compliance with the Statutory requirement under the Welfare of Animals Act NI 2011 and the Dogs (NI) Order 1983.
How will it be used?
To inform of compliance or non-compliance with the Animal Welfare and Dog Control legislation. The information could be used in the gathering of evidence, the issue of a fixed penalty notice and in any subsequent legal process.
Who will it be shared with?
Tascomi, all Councils, PSNI, DAERA, DOJ, etc.
Personal information will not be disclosed to any other third party, unless law or regulation compels such a disclosure.
How long will it be retained for?
As per Council’s Records Retention and Disposal Schedule.
