Who is collecting it?
Fermanagh and Omagh District Council is the Data Controller which means that we determine how the information is collected, used, protected and shared, where appropriate.
How is it collected?
The information could be collected when a member of the public contacts the Council by telephone, email or letter or through an application/declaration process.
Why is it being collected?
The lawful basis we rely on for processing your personal data is article 6(1)b of the GDPR which means that the processing is necessary for a contract we have with you or because you have asked us to take specific steps before entering into a contract, and article 6(1)(e) of the GDPR, which is that processing is necessary for us to perform a task in the public interest or for official functions, and the task/function has a clear basis in law.
How will it be used
The information is being collected to communicate with the applicant and deliver a service, or to update the member of the public, after they have raised a query or service request.
Who will it be shared with?
Personal information may be shared with the staff responsible for addressing the matter or dealing with the query or service request. Information may be shared with other Council departments, statutory enforcement bodies, agencies or relevant organisations for the purpose of addressing an issue and delivering the service.
How long will it be retained for?
The information will be retained in line with the Council’s Records Retention and Disposal Schedule.
