Legacy Fermanagh District Council

The Legacy Fermanagh District Council was established in 1973 with 20 Councillors elected to serve.  Following Boundary changes in the early 1980s, the number of Councillors increased to 23.

The first Chair of Fermanagh District Council was the late Mr Eddie Elliott and the last Chair was Mr Bert Johnston.

Following the Reform of Local Government in Northern Ireland, Fermanagh District Council joined with Omagh District Council and Fermanagh and Omagh District Council was formed in 2015.
